Dr Kizito Shisanya

Dr. Kizito Asava Shisanya (MBChB, MMed Surgery, UoN) is a Consultant General Surgeon & Senior Lecturer in Department of Surgery, School of Medicine at Kenyatta University, Kenya, East Africa.

Senior PRIME Tutor for Bioethics and Whole Person Medicine. Certified ATLS Instructor. Has been involved in teaching and supporting cohorts within Africa and globally.

Previously worked as resident Consultant Surgeon at Naivasha District Hospital. A council member of Surgical Society of Kenya & 2021 awardee of Utumishi Bora Award, Mentorship category Kenya.

Chairs CMF Kenya Advisory Board as well as Kenya Medical Practitioners & Dentists Union (KMPDU)Legal committee

Dr Kizito is passionate about mentoring, quality service, global health, bioethics, advocacy, value-based leadership, organizational development and strategic partnerships.
