In 2019 I was given the responsibility to explore Telemedicine for CMC, Ludhiana. In May 2020 we were one of the earliest to launch a full program for online consultation.

Since then the telemedicine has been able to serve patients from within India and overseas for consultations across various specialties.

As a Neurologist I use teleconsult to provide service to patients with long distance to travel as well as those nearby but too disabled to be shifted. Some opt for it sheerly for convenience.

Last year I initiated the Neuromuscular Center of Excellence at CMC Ludhiana. The center looks after rare and difficult to treat adult and pediatric neuromuscular diseases. Since these patients find it hard to travel telemedicine has become an integral part of it.
