Dr Geoffrey Masika Wechuli

I am a Christian doctor trained in and currently working as a Consultant Family Physician at a County Referral Hospital in Kenya since 2020. I am the immediate former Head of department of Family Medicine at Kabarak University where I was privileged to steer the program’s growth to include five church hospitals over four years. I continue to provide administrative, academic and mentorship support to the program in the capacity of honorary lecturer. I am a married to Dr Audrey Chepkemoi and a father to four wonderful children – Gift, Destyn, Daniella and Stellan Masika.

I am a PRIME tutor, trained in Whole Person Medicine (PRIME-UK) in 2016 and I helped engineer the incorporation of the PRIME Whole Person Medicine curriculum into the Kabarak University Family Medicine curriculum as one of the introductory courses. I am a regular trainer with PRIME in Kenya. I recently completed the Bioethics (Cert) with ICMDA and eager to continue engaging and training others.

I have been an active member of Christian Medical Fellowship – Kenya since my undergraduate years and have been privileged to help start the Eldoret and Nakuru chapters. I am a board member of the Christian Academy of African Physicians (CAAP), a member of WONCA, Kenya Association of Family Physicians among others. I am passionate about Christian witness in the medical marketplace, voluntary community work and medical missions. I have engaged in several medical missions to unreached people groups in the East Africa region and beyond. I find joy in mentoring medical students in these and other values, together growing in our Christian walk, witness, and service.
